----------

The Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship is the core coursework-only program in entrepreneurship from the Macquarie Institute for Innovation. The program's aims and objectives are to provide participants with the detailed understanding and skills for them to confidently contribute to the establishment and running of a new knowledge-intensive venture. Emphasis is on knowledge-intensive ventures and on-campus delivery to local, international and evening students. The graduate diploma is targeted at recent graduates entering either directly from a first degree or attending on a part-time basis whilst working. The full-time enrolment is open to international students. In addition, individual units are available as non-award and as options within other postgraduate coursework programs across the university.

The core requirement is to meet the requirements of the graduate certificate and to satisfactorily complete three additional elective units, selected on basis of the background of the student and the entrepreneurship focus of interest. Approved MII-developed units range from underpinning fundamentals to specialist topics of relevance to managing the creation and growth of successful ventures, marketing knowledge-intensive products and services. These ventures will include social, not-for-profit ventures.
