INOV803 Resourcing Entrepreneurial Activities
This unit is not presently being offered by Macquarie University.
----------
Description
The unit addresses the critical issue of accessing financial, human and infrastructure resources relevant to a successful entrepreneurial venture. A very significant element of the unit is the purpose and structure of a business plan to be used to access such resources.
By exploring the funding process from idea conception to initial public offering (IPO), with stress on early stage finance, this unit is designed for individuals interested in starting, joining, or managing a high potential entrepreneurial enterprise. The concepts, issues, and techniques of deal valuation, structure, and negotiation are brought to life with case studies and guest speakers including venture capitalists, and successful entrepreneurs/CEOs.
The selection and appointment of key staff to an entrepreneurial team as well as the sourcing of appropriate infrastructure raise many important issues that are also covered in the unit.
