Student Clubs & Activities
Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society (ASES) @ Macquarie
It is no accident that Macquarie is called the Innovative University. The new entrepreneurs club pretty much sums it up.
ASES is an international entrepreneurship network, focused around the Asia-Pacific region that helps foster a new generation of entrepreneurs prepared to innovate in ever-changing global markets. Macquarie University is proud to host the first ASES chapter in Australia. The network offers entrepreneurial students an array of opportunities and events such as:
- Opportunities to meet and speak to keynote speakers
- Competitions such as the Business Planning Competition and Global Innovation Challenge (with great prizes on offer!)
- Committed members have the opportunity to attend two annual summits - one in Stanford, the other in a selected Asia-Pacific host city.
- Networking with other like-minded people.
- Mentoring and workshops with successful entrepreneurs
Do you have a great business idea that you would like to develop? ASES will help guide you to the right path! There is no such thing as a 'silly' idea. Become an active ASES member today.

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Macquarie
If you're interested in creating economic opportunities for others, then this club is for you. Like ASES, SIFE is a large global organisation with chapters all over the world. Macquarie has a very active SIFE team with some great projects. Macquarie students of all disciplines are invited to join one of the project teams.
One of the main SIFE projects for 2007 is The Future Entrepreneurs of the World Summit (FEWS). FEWS is a global gathering of student entrepreneurs. This five-day conference is to be held July 15-19, 2007 at Macquarie. If you would like to apply or find out more please visit www.fews.com.au
